DURHAM, N.C. – In a top 15 matchup of the Tobacco Road rivals, the 11th-ranked Duke women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against third-ranked North Carolina in double overtime Thursday night at Koskinen Stadium in front of a season-high crowd of 3,176 fans.
The Blue Devils (6-1-5, 1-0-4 ACC) created several scoring opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net against the Tar Heels (11-1-1, 4-0-1 ACC), while North Carolina held an 18-6 advantage in shots in the scoreless affair.
"I'm just really proud of how we played," said head coach Robbie Church.
