NETANYA, Israel – Blue Devil swimmers excelled in a number of events this week at the 20th World Maccabiah Games in Israel. Leah Goldman, Judd Howard and Noah Stevens all represented the United States, competing July 9-12 at The Wingate Institute for Physical Education and Sports.
Goldman, a rising senior who served as a banner bearer for Maccabi USA at last Thursday’s opening ceremonies, claimed a pair of gold medals as a member of the 800-meter freestyle and 400 medley relay teams. Swimming as the anchor leg on the 400 medley relay Wednesday, she helped the group come from behind to take first and set a Maccabiah Games record.
