ELON, N.C. – The Duke men’s cross country team placed first at the Elon Opener with 20 total points, finishing nine runners in the top-10 and 12 in the top-15.
Campbell placed second with 65 points, followed by North Carolina (71), UNC-Greensboro (130) and Elon (157).
Crossing the finish line first for the Blue Devils was junior Alex Miley, who ran a time of 18:26.9 for second-place overall. Placing right behind Miley was junior Paul Dellinger, who took third with a time of 18:31.1. Sophomore Matt Politis earned fourth (18:31.
