DURHAM, N.C. – The Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) will make its debut this weekend, with three former Blue Devils set to compete on the inaugural day of action.
The Baltimore Brave and Philadelphia Fire will square off Saturday at 4 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., as part of a doubleheader with the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Ohio Machine of Major League Lacrosse. Former Duke defender Maura Schwitter, a 2017 graduate, will be in action for the Brave while recent Duke graduate Maddie Crutchfield and Kerrin Maurer (’15) will take the field for the Fire.
