DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt sophomore linebacker Tinashe Bere will miss the remainder of the 2016 season after undergoing surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee. He suffered the injury in Saturday’s 38-35 win over Notre Dame.
Dr. Claude T. Moorman III, Duke’s head team physician and the director of Duke Sports Science Institute, administered the operation.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bere compiled 13 total tackles through four games this season including a season-high five in last week’s victory at Notre Dame.
