ROLAND, Ark. – Led by a very impressive display of golf over the final two days, Duke University rising senior Ana Belac and Team International claimed the Arnold Palmer Cup Sunday at The Alotian Club in Roland, Ark.
The International Team notched 13 of the 24 points up for grabs during the Sunday singles matches, becoming the first visiting team to win on U.S soil since 2009. Overall, the International Team registered a 33.5-26.5 victory over the United States to halt back-to-back wins for the U.S.
Belac only needed 14 holes Sunday as the Slovenian international routed Mariel Galdiano (UCLA) on her way to secure a point and a win for Team International.
