ARLINGTON, Texas – Duke right-hander Charlie Beilenson and righty Nick Conte were selected on Monday as the MLB First-year Player Draft continued in Arlington. Beilenson was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the fifth round, while Conte was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the eighth round.
Duke's total of selections in the MLB Draft moves to 99 all-time and 44 under head coach Chris Pollard.
