DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke University fencing program announced captains for the 2017 season. The four student-athletes selected are seniors Julia Lee (foil) and Rita Somogyi (epee), and juniors Pascual Di Tella (saber) and Jan Maceczek (foil).
"This year we have two sets of co-captains leading the men's and women's teams, something we haven’t done in previous years,” said head coach Alex Beguinet. “These four student-athletes have proven to be successful not only in the fencing gym but also in the classroom, which is something we, as coaches, value.
