CARY, N.C. – Chloe Beck and Georgia Drummy of the Duke women's tennis team each advanced to the main draw round of 16 in singles action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American on Wednesday at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
Beck, who is ranked No. 5 nationally, defeated Molly Helgesson of UNLV, 5-7, 7-6, 6-2, and will next face North Carolina's 28th-ranked Carson Tanguilig. Drummy, a native of Dublin, Ireland and ranked No. 8 nationally, also notched a three-set victory on Wednesday with a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 win over 17th-ranked Kari Miller of Michigan.
