Well here’s some sincerely sad news: after 65 years of extraordinary service, St. Anthony’s of Jersey City is done. There’s not enough money to keep the doors open so it’ll close after this school year.
St. Anthony’s is most famous for its basketball program which has won on an epic level and produced many great players, including Duke products Roshown McLeod and Bobby Hurley, who helped lead Duke to back-to-back titles in 1991-92.
Hurley of course is the son and namesake of St. Anthony’s coach Bob Hurley.
