DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke baseball team awoke early Monday morning to take part in the 12th annual United Way of the Greater Triangle MLK Day of Service. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., 37 Blue Devil players and five coaches unloaded supply trucks carrying dehydrated vegetables, rice and beans in support of the event’s efforts to package 100,000 meals for the hungry.
“On behalf of our program, we are thrilled to partner with the Rotary Club, United Way, Durham Tech and all of our good friends here at Duke University to support the Martin Luther King Meal Packaging Event,” said head coach Chris Pollard.
