DURHAM, N.C. – Sixteen intrasquad scrimmages, including the team’s annual Fall World Series, highlight the Duke baseball 2016 fall schedule as announced by head coach Chris Pollard Tuesday. All scrimmages are open to the public, giving fans the opportunity to catch the Blue Devils in action this fall.
Duke returns 23 letterwinners and eight starters from this past season’s 33-24 team that earned the program’s first NCAA Tournament bid since 1961. The Blue Devils return both 2016 All-ACC picks in sophomore outfielder Jimmy Herron and junior third baseman/right-hander Jack Labosky, while also adding 10 freshmen and one graduate student transfer into the mix.
