DURHAM – Recent Duke attacker Catriona Barry earned Academic All-America® honors by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced Wednesday.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Barry was selected Academic All-District III in May and earned a spot on the Academic All-America® ballot. She was named a third team honoree for the first time in her career.
After being named one of 25 Tewaaraton Award nominees, Barry was unstoppable this spring for the Blue Devils as arguably one of the best offensive players in the country.
