WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Isabella Barna secured All-America honors to highlight Friday’s action at the NCAA Fencing Championships for Duke, placing sixth in women’s epee. With the women’s events completed, the Blue Devils head into the men’s half of the meet 12th in the team standings with 29 points.
Columbia/Barnard continues to lead the team race with 86 points, followed by Notre Dame (84), Princeton (82), Ohio State (76) and St. John’s (74) closing out the top five.
Barna, who finished the first day in third with 10 victories, wrapped up the final eight pool play bouts Friday with three victories to cement her spot in sixth with 13 wins and a +11 indicator.
