Barket, a product of West Lafayette, Ind., opened the event with a bye in the first round of the 125 kg weight class. He then dropped a contest to Ben Kueter, before registering back-to-back wins against Vincent Mueller (13-12) and Rocco Dellagatta (10-0).
In his final match, Barket fell to Koy Hopke (10-0) to finish fifth overall in his weight.
Redshirt freshman Gaetano Console also competed in the U-20 World Team Trials in the 82 kg Greco-Roman bracket.
