WACO, Texas – The Duke women's tennis tandem of Irina Balus and Ellie Coleman made their debut Wednesday at the NCAA Doubles Championship in Waco. The Blue Devils registered a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) victory over 23rd-ranked Eliza Tomase and Catherin Aulia of Tennessee to move on to the round of 16 at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The Duke tandem opened strong in the first set leading 4-1 early, but the Lady Vols came back to win three games in a row to even the score, 4-4.
