When Austin Rivers was at Duke, he was a very good basketball player, but let’s put it this way: he had more interest in one end of the court than the other. This made everyone happiest when he hit the phenomenal clutch shot against UNC in the Dean Dome to gut the Tar Heels at the buzzer and carve his name forever into Duke lore.
Fast forward to very late 2018 and Rivers is on the Houston Rockets and....now he’s carving out a role as a defender.
It’s a big change from his Blue Devil days.
