With apologies to Thomas Wolfe, Jack White is going home again.
Last week the former Duke basketball player signed a three-year contract to play for Melbourne United of Australia’s National Basketball League.
White thus became the first member of Duke’s 2020 team to sign a professional basketball contract.
The NBL has been around since 1979. The 10-team league plays a 28-game schedule, normally running from October through March. Due to COVID-19 their 2020-’21 season will begin in December, assuming conditions remain stable.
NBL teams are allowed three “imports” and you’ve likely heard of some of them.
