Imagine the scene: a sports bar somewhere outside of Louisville. NCAA tournament games are on every screen.
At the bar sit two drinkers, one with a Kentucky hat on and one wearing Louisville’s. They’re taunting each other good naturedly. The Louisville guy mocks John Calipari’s hair. The Kentucky guy makes a crack about escorts wearing Adidas sneakers.
They both laugh good naturedly.
On the TV a new game is starting and the intro features Christian Laettner’s legendary 1992 shot against Kentucky.
Buddy, says the Kentucky fan. “**** Laettner,”
“**** Zion,” the Louisville fan replies.
