One of the best Duke-related stories lately is the return of Amile Jefferson.
He came to Duke as a promising, well-regarded recruit, and immediately irritated State fans after picking the Blue Devils over the Wolfpack.
As a freshman, he got more time than he was ready for because of injuries to others, but later in his career, he emerged as a sturdy and reliable player. In 2015, he was willing to come off the bench for freshman Justise Winslow, and that unselfishness was a major key for that team’s title run. And as a redshirt senior, he had become a very good player.
