Well, I’m sure you’ve heard about the earthquake that hit the Los Angeles and Las Vegas regions by now, but one of the head-scratching things that happened after the earth shook was the continuation of the Orlando Magic vs. San Antonio Spurs game from the Cox Pavilion.
Just across the street, in the Thomas and Mack Center, play was quickly stopped between the New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks after the overhead scoreboards and speakers shook.
While there are no overhanging items in the Cox Pavilion, play continued as if nothing happened for quite a while and in that time, former Duke Basketball star Amile Jefferson was having a very nice game for the Orlando Magic.
