DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore Nicolas Alvarez has received the ITA Wild Card to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship later this month in Flushing, N.Y. Only 32 singles players will compete in the prestigious event at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center from November 12-15.
“We are extremely grateful to the ITA for extending this wild card,” head coach Ramsey Smith said. “Nico is thrilled to have the opportunity to compete in the premiere event of the college fall season. He has been working hard and playing very well, and it will be exciting to watch him battle against the best players in college tennis next week.
