DURHAM, N.C. – Duke sophomore Nicolas Alvarez will begin his second tournament of the fall Thursday with the Saint Francis ITA All-American Championships Main Draw in Tulsa, Okla., at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Alvarez enters the draw as the No. 2 seed.
Alvarez will begin the main draw against Joao Monteiro of Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.
In his only other fall action, Alvarez took second place at the Oracle/ITA Masters. The tournament consisted of the top 16 players in the country and Alvarez defeated a trio of ranked opponents before falling to TCU’s Cameron Norrie, 6-3, 7-6 (2), in the championship match.
