ST. LOUIS – Duke’s Grayson Allen and Brandon Ingram were named finalists for the Oscar Robertson Trophy and the Integris Wayman Tisdale Award Award, respectively, on Monday in an announcement by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
The Oscar Robertson Trophy, for which Allen is one of 11 finalists, is awarded annually to the USBWA’s National Player of the Year. Previous Duke winners include Danny Ferry (1989), Christian Laettner (1992), Elton Brand (1999), Shane Battier (2001), Jason Williams (2002) and J.J. Redick (2006).
Ingram is one of five finalists for the Integris Wayman Tisdale Award, bestowed by the USBWA each season on the National Freshman of the Year.
