At 6-7, Alison Bales was a real force inside for Duke. She went on to play in the WNBA and overseas in France, Russia and Turkey.
Now, though, she’s on to a different stage of life: Bales is about to start her residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine (the article doesn’t list what she’s chosen).
She’ll join Georgia Schweitzer Beasley and Taymon Domzalski as relatively recent Blue Devils who are now physicians.
It’s a bit over our heads but it might interest you to know that Domzalski contributed to a paper on Lipoma arborescens of the biceps tendon sheath.
