Just a couple of days after A.J. Reed announced that Duke was in his final three schools, he has announced that he will officially commit to play for the Blue Devils starting in 2016. On Saturday morning Reed made it official by tweeting out his announcement.

Reed is a 5’11” 175 pound kicker who is ranked as the fifth best kicker in the nation according to Kohl’s Kicking. The other two schools Reed was considering were both SEC schools, Alabama and Mississippi State.
Reed is from Prattville, Alabama so it might come as a bit of a surprise that he chose Duke over Alabama but Duke will be glad to have him.
