DURHAM, N.C.—Duke men's soccer senior Colby Agu's goal in the 20th minute was enough for the Blue Devils tonight as they captured a 1-0 shutout victory over Denver at Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils held the Pioneers to just two shots over 90 minutes.
While the game did not feature many looks at goal, Duke (7-7-2) capitalized when it counted to regain its winning ways. Overall, Duke outshot Denver 10-2, putting five of those on frame. The Blue Devils carried a slight edge in possession, but were significantly more dangerous offensively as the backline did well to keep the Pioneers from exploiting the space in behind the defense.
