DURHAM, N.C. – Duke incoming freshman Colby Agu completed his final tournament with the United States Under 19 National Team Monday afternoon at the 33rd International U-20 Men’s COTIF Tournament in Valencia, Spain. Agu and the United States failed to advance out of the group, despite posting wins over Mauritania and Spain.
A member of the U-19 squad that brought home the Slovakia Cup in April, Agu started the first game of the tournament against Venezuela. The Cary, N.C., native played 56 minutes in the 2-0 loss.
The U.S. bounced back with a 1-0 win over Mauritania with Agu coming off the bench in the 62 minutes to help the U-19s remain alive in the group.
