In Sunday’s ACC Action, Clemson knocked off Pitt 79-70 and Louisville fell at Virginia Tech, 75-68.
We’ve mentioned before our respect for Brad Brownell’s ability to develop talent. Because of that, while we never expected much out of Ian Schieffelin, seeing him as a complementary player, the 6-8 junior has emerged as an elite rebounder. In his last five games, Schieffelin has pulled down 7, 9, 10, 14 and 17 boards. Let’s compare that to the ACC’s premiere rebounder for the last few years, Armando Bacot.
In Bacot’s last five, he’s gotten 8, 18, 4, 11 and 13.
