Ted Valentine is back in the news. He may not even be aware of it this time.
The controversial ACC referee, in his first game back after an unofficial five-day suspension arising from an incident with North Carolina’s Joel Berry, went viral Tuesday night. A video clip appeared to show Valentine poking Virginia forward Jack Salt in a sensitive area after calling a foul, although Salt had no reaction.
Wednesday, an ACC spokesman said “it’s a non-issue and we will have no further comment.”
Did anyone else notice Ted Valentine give Jack Salt a “boop” after a foul?
