You might think well big whoop, 10th? But it’s a big improvement and shows that people are impressed with how Capel has handled his program.
Last season Pitt finished 14-19 - a losing record to be sure - but much better than the eight-win season Kevin Stallings left as a parting gift.
Losing 24 times in a single season was deflating obviously but in Pitt’s case the team was particularly miserable. There was no competitive fire and even from a distance, there didn't appear to be much respect for Stallings and certainly no esprit de corps.
