In 1935, in a conversation about the power of the Catholic Church, Josef Stalin said “how many divisions does the pope have?”
Earlier, when he didn’t like the decision in Worcester vs. Georgia, Andrew Jackson supposedly said “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”
Both men were dealing with questions of power and how to project it, something ACC commissioner John Wofford is also looking at as the ACC Network draws nigh.
And one of the things he’s looking at is starting ACC conference play in November.
This is somewhat similar to what we’ve proposed before: an ACC tournament to begin the season.
