DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke men’s soccer team received one first-place vote and was picked to finish third in the Coastal Division in a vote of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 12 head coaches the league office announced Monday. North Carolina was selected as the favorite to take home the overall crown.
North Carolina earned nine of the 12 first-place votes, with Duke, Virginia, Wake Forest splitting the final three. The Tar Heels also are considered the favorite to win the Coastal Division with 10 of 12 votes, while Wake Forest is the top vote getter with nine for the Atlantic Division.
