Of course Lawson played at Tennessee for Pat Head Summitt, so the school has bragging rights and a stake in her accomplishments.
When Tennessee hired Kellie Harper last year, there were a lot of people who wanted the Vols to hire Lawson.
Didn’t happen obviously.
The hosts worry about comparisons between Harper and Lawson with one suggesting that Harper shouldn’t schedule Duke, not that they’ve made a habit of it.
They’re clearly impressed with Lawson, seem concerned about the possibility that UT might have hired the wrong coach and suggest that she might end up back in the NBA sooner than one might think.
