On Twitter, Mike DeCourcy and several others noted the full crowd Friday night at Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas to see the NBA debut of Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett.
As DeCourcy noted, this would not have happened had they not built up their reputations in college.
So it was a bit ironic that on Friday Top 40 talent Terry Armstrong became the latest to announce his decision to play pro ball in Australia.
No disrespect to Aussie hoops, which is actually pretty good and about to get damned good, but as far as the US market is concerned, they’ve fallen off the face of the earth.
