Kenny Blakeney was at Duke from 1991-1995 and so he had a front seat to the greatest moments and some of the bleakest.
He is now the head coach at Howard University, one of the nation’s most prominent HBCU’s, and got some major attention this past recruiting cycle when big man Makur Maker chose Howard over several Power Five offers (unfortunately, Maker is currently shut down with a groin injury).
Blakeney talks about a lot of stuff here, including social activism at Duke and beyond, his relationships with his former teammates and other members, witnessing Christian Laettner’s great shot against Kentucky, and much more.
