Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils have been on a search for a big man the entire summer and have landed one in the class of 2024 just in time for Thanksgiving. Patrick Ngongba II, a 6’11 center out of Paul VI Catholic High School in Northern Virginia has committed to the Blue Devils. Ngongba is a classmate of Duke commit Darren Harris. Duke fans are very familiar with Paul VI as the basketball powerhouse has been good to the Blue Devils yielding guards Jeremy Roach and Trevor Keels. Ngongba II is the highest-ranked recruit out of Virginia in the class of 2024 and is the fifth-highest ranked center overall in the class of 2024 according to 247sports.
