DURHAM – Thirteen former Blue Devil standouts will take to the field this weekend as the Premier Lacrosse League gets its sixth season underway. Action starts in Albany, N.Y., June 1-2 with the 2023 PLL Championship rematch between Philadelphia Waterdogs and Utah Archers airing on ABC.
Duke's 13 representatives in the league ranks fourth among all universities. Maryland leads the way with 21 and Virginia and Notre Dame both have 14 in the league to start 2024.
The trio of Tyler Carpenter, Brennan O'Neill and Josh Zawada will make their professional debuts with Carpenter donning a New York Atlas uniform and O'Neill and Zawada suiting up for Denver Outlaws.
