The Duke Blue Devils have ramped up their pursuit of 6'3 point guard Frank Jackson (American Fork, UT) recently, and they've emerged as one of the favorites to land him.
In an interview with 247sports, Jackson talked about his recruitment and his interest in the Blue Devils:
"Duke, Arizona, Stanford, BYU, [and] Utah are all showing serious interest. I'm going to try to visit both Duke and Arizona in June. Trying to visit Stanford at some point too. I'm not going to take an official to either of the local schools. Just because I've seen them both a lot and it would be a waste of an official visit.
"With Duke, it's one of the best basketball programs in the world, best coach in the world. They win. You can see from the National Championship last year. I think [I'll make my decision] some time in the fall before high school starts. I don't know though. If that time comes around and I'm not sure, I'll wait and see."
When asked about what he's looking for in a program, Jackson stressed the importance of being challenged both on and off the court.
"One, education-wise, because the air is going to come out of basketball at some point. A program that can get me to the next level and develop my skills and kind of hone them up. And lastly, just the environment I'm going to be in, the people I'm going to be around. I just want to make a difference in the world."
