The Duke Blue Devils have commitments in hand from two 2016 recruits who are the sons of former NBA players -- preferred walk-on Justin Robinson, son of David, and the newest pledge for the Blue Devils, three-star 6-foot-11 center Antonio Vrankovic.
Antonio is the son of former NBA center Stojko Vrankovic, who made a name for himself as a 7-foot-2 shot blocker in Europe after a brief career in the United States.
Nicknamed the "Croatian Sensation", Vrankovic was born in Minnesota but raised in Croatia. He moved back to Minnesota a few years ago, however, to attend high school and put himself in a position to be recruited.
Vrankovic's bodt and skill set is still developing despite his 6-foot-11, 270-pound frame. While he's not as offensively skilled as a Jahlil Okafor (who has a similar frame), Vrankovic has some nice raw tools to work with and a solid touch at the free-throw line (80% in prep competition).
