The Drake women's soccer team soared past Illinois State, 1-0, on a last-minute goal Sunday morning in Normal, Ill., in an exhibition match that was quickly added to the schedule this weekend.
"We started the game a bit flat and couldn't match ISU's intensity and were too reactive. We did a good job of absorbing the first 15-20 minutes and finding our way into the game with high percentage passes and winnings more tackles," said head coach Lindsey Horner. "We are really pleased with the experience we got a lot of our younger players today.
