SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drake University women's soccer team fell to Missouri State, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon in Springfield. Anna Durnin scored the decisive goal for the Bears in the 27 minute with a laser into the top-right corner of the net. She recorded a game-high four shots and three shots on target.
Missouri State's Jordan Eickelman controlled the ball near the left edge of the 18-yard box before centering a pass to Durnin, who took a touch before unleashing the eventual game-winner.
Junior goalkeeper made seven saves between the posts for the Bulldogs, none better than her sprawling effort in the 58 minute.
