NORMAL, Ill. – The Drake women's golf team concluded play in its first event of the fall season today at the Redbird Invitational. The Bulldogs ended the two-day event in a tie for seventh place on the leaderboard among the 15-team field.
Drake posted a three-round total of 911 (299-303-309=911) to tie with Northern Iowa and Loyola Chicago for seventh place. Host team Illinois State won the team title shooting 848 (282-281-285=848) while Little Rock came in second place at 884 (293-297-294=884).
Julie Huggins led the Bulldogs on the leaderboard and earned a top 20 finish as she placed tied for 14th after firing a 223 total (74-72-77=223).
