The Drake University women's basketball team heads to Illinois for a pair of Valley games. The Bulldogs face Bradley on Jan. 27 at 6:30pm and Illinois State Saturday Jan. 29 at 6pm.
The Bulldogs are coming off a win against in state rival UNI on Jan. 21. Drake was on a four-game losing streak prior to defeating UNI.
Freshman forward Anna Miller earner Valley Newcomer of the Week honors for her performance against the Panthers. She led the Bulldogs with 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
The Bulldogs had four people record double digit scoring against the Panthers -- Miller 16 points, Grace Berg 13 points, Megan Meyer 11 points, Maggie Bair 10 points.
