The Drake University women's basketball team fell to Nebraska, 89-68, on Sunday Dec. 19 in Lincoln, Neb. This was the Bulldogs first loss to the Huskers since Dec. 2017 when Drake fell in double-overtime by five.
The Bulldogs struggled to maintain possession against a scrappy Nebraska defense.
Junior forward Maggie Bair opened scoring for the Bulldogs with a three from the left side of the arc. Junior guard Megan Meyer added another basket from beyond the arc less than 30 seconds later to give the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead.
Bair finished with 14 points, six of which came from beyond the arc.
