SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Sydney Manning hit a three-pointer at the buzzer for No. 20/18 Missouri State, who escaped with a 69-67 win over the Drake University women's basketball team Friday night at the JQH Arena.
Manning, who led Missouri State (13-2, 3-0 MVC) with 16 points, picked up a deflected pass in the final seconds of the contest and let the basketball go just in time. The Lady Bears closed the game with eight-straight points.
Drake (9-5, 1-1 MVC) was paced by Sara Rhine (Eldon, Mo.) who finished with 23 points while Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) had 16 points.
