For the fourth-straight season, the Drake University volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Academic Team Award.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
In addition to earning their fourth-straight honor, the Bulldogs have garnered the Academic Team Award in six of the last seven seasons.
The Bulldogs have been honored a total of nine times in award's 29-year history with six of those coming under the leadership of reigning Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year Darrin McBroom.
