FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A pair of event wins by Taryn Rolle (Nassau, The Bahamas) and Kundai Maguranyanga (Glen Zorah, Zimbabwe) helped lead the Drake University track and field teams to 22 top-ten finishes at the Arkansas Spring Invitational Saturday.
Rolle defended her Spring Invitational triple jump title from a year ago with a mark of 29-7 1/4 while Maguranyanga ran a time of 21.08 to win the 200 meters. Maguranyanga's time is the fastest from a Bulldog since 1981 and ranks fourth all-time in school history.
Senior Mary Young (Urbandale, Iowa) took third in the 100-meter hurdles while Victoria Coombe (Centennial, Colo.
