ST. LOUIS, Mo. – A league-high four Drake Bulldogs earned a spot on the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete teams and junior Reed Timmer (New Berlin, Wis.) was named the Enterprise Bank & Trust MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Thursday, March 2.
Timmer, who sports a 3.48 cumulative grade point average while majoring in pharmacy, is fourth in the MVC in scoring a 15.4 points per game, third in free-throw percentage, and 11th in three-pointers per game. Timmer has scored in double figures in 26 of the Bulldogs' 30 games and has led Drake in scoring in 16 of those contests.
