Drake University senior Reed Timmer (New Berlin, Wis.) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, Feb. 19. The honor is the second this month and third this season for Timmer.
Timmer, Drake's all-time scoring leader, earning the honor after averaging 29.5 points per game in a pair of wins by shooting 54.8 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from the arc and 93.8 percent from the free-throw line.
He opened the week with a historic performance and a career-high 39 points in the win over Indiana State.
